  • Special preconception [ before pregnancy ] diet is the final part of ‘ Garbhakranti preconception preparation’.
  • This diet helps in nutrition [ Saptadhatu Poshan] of the couple after purification is done by Panchakarma.
    • Special preconception diet should have the following qualities………

    • I will remove the cream of milk everyday till a sufficient amount of cream accumulates.
    • Then I will mix this cream in small amount of curd and keep it overnight .
    • Next day, I will churn [Manthan Sanskar] the curd so that the cream comes to surface.
    • This process will be repeated again and again till the cream is thick.
    • This thick cream is Loni.[ This is home made butter ].
    • This Loni will be removed and it will be heated on slow flame.
    • Heating will liquefy Loin and cow`s ghee will be formed.

  • When paddy rice is dehusked [husk layer is removed], brown rice is formed.
  • When the bran layer of brown rice is removed, then white rice is formed.
  • As the bran layer contains B Vitamins, the vitamins get removed during milling process.
  • Why is parboiled rice nutritious?
  • Parboiling is a process in which after removal of husk, parboiling is done.
  • Process of parboiling helps in entry of vitamin B group which are present in the bran layer into the white rice; hence when the bran layer is removed in parboiled rice during milling, still the rice is nutritious and rich in B vitamins.

  • Hence I should avoid white bread, brown bread and maida.

  • I will mix smashed dry coriander seeds with 2 cups of boiled water.
  • I will keep for 2 minutes.
  • I will filter it properly.
  • I will add stone sugar for taste.
  • I will drink it.
  • Dhanyak Jal is antiemetic.
  • It is digestive.
  • It is carminative.
  • It is coolant for burning maturation.
  • It is anti-spasmodic.

    • I should take 2 tea spoonfuls [ 5 gram ] dry ginger [Shunthi]
    • Smash it.
    • I should take 2 cups of boiled water.
    • I should Mix smashed dry ginger with 2 cups of boiled water.
    • Keep for 2 minutes.
    • Filter it properly.
    • Mix stone sugar for taste.
    • As per Ayurveda , dry ginger water is antiemetic.
